Abstract submission will open January 30, 2026 and close April 1, 2026. Submitters will be notified of acceptance by May 15, 2026.
Intercoh 2026 welcomes abstracts on all science and engineering topics related to cohesive sediments dynamics in riverine, estuarine, coastal, and deep ocean settings. These include, but are not limited to,
Case studies (especially those related to the Mississippi River and coastal Louisiana )
Erosion, deposition, and consolidation
Flocculation and floc properties
Wave-mud interactions
Processes in mud sedimentology
Biological effects and biogeomorphology
Mixed mud-sand transport in tidal flats to the continental shelf
Beneficial use of dredge sediment
Mud transport in bottom boundary layers
The Mehta Awards committee is now accepting nomination packages for the Mehta Award. Students and early-career scientist (within 2-years of graduation) are welcome to opt into the Krone Award competition. More details on both awards can be found on the Awards page.
